What are Goldbacks? They're a revolutionary gold based currency that originated out of Utah. With the smallest denomination being 1/1000th a troy ounce of 24k gold. With denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25 & 50.
In almost 5 years they have penetrated into 5 different states offering their citizens an option to use gold in everyday transactions.
What needs to happen to bring them to Michigan?
1) We need to pass legislation to remove the sales and capital gains tax from gold and silver.
2) A business network of places willing to accept and use goldbacks.
3) A sponsor to create our state series.

What can you do?
1) Buy Goldbacks
2) Try to use them and show them around. Giving them tips is a great way to introduce them to your community.
3) Call your representative and let them know you support sound money legislation.
4) Share this site to help build a community of like minded individuals in the state.
